Senegal Seabream (Diplodus Bellottii)
Latin name: Diplodus bellottii
Common name: Senegal seabream
Distribution: Mediterranean, Eastern Atlantic.
Habitat: On sand and sea grass beds.
Did you know: This hermaphroditic species is very similar to the annular gilthead (diplodus annularis). The differences are that the senegal seabream only has one row of molars as well as a black spot by the lateral line and a dark stripe below it.
